From Streetwear to Lifestyle and Fashion
Founded by triple Wimbledon champion
Fred Perry in 1952 and adopted by generations of British subcultures ever since. The original Fred Perry shirt hasn’t changed since it was first designed over 60 years ago. A true piece of subcultural uniform, taking us from sportswear to streetwear. What inspired Fred also inspired a generation of tennis players. And then inspired a generation of rebels, musicians, film-makers and full-circle back to sports stars. But always at the heart of it, just above the heart of the payer, was the Laurel Wreath. The shirt you can recognise from across a room, across a dance floor, across a football stadium.
In 1969, in the medieval wool town of
Lavenham, Suffolk, Mrs. Elliot designed the world's first nylon quilted horse rug, setting the foundation for Lavenham. Emphasizing durability and functionality, each piece was crafted to last by skilled local craftspeople. Today, Lavenham remains committed to its roots, producing all items in its Suffolk factory. By harnessing the expertise of some of the UK’s most seasoned craftspeople, Lavenham continues to deliver purpose-built, high-quality products, maintaining a legacy of innovation and craftsmanship.
